Targeted treatments
Hydroquinone and estriol, targeted treatments to be used with advice.
Hydroquinone 4% is a depigmenting agent used in dermatology to fade localised hyperpigmentation: dark spots, melasma, post-inflammatory marks. It is applied in the evening, only to the areas concerned, in short courses, with SPF 50 every morning.
Estriol 0.1% is a natural oestrogen used as a cream in gynaecology and dermatology. Its hormonal action requires prior medical advice, and its use must strictly follow the directions of a healthcare professional.
Both treatments are not recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding and are prescription-only in many countries. Each product sheet details the directions and precautions to follow.
General information, provided for guidance only. It does not replace the advice of a healthcare professional.
